Program Notes

New Horizons is a reflection on the excitement and thrill of engaging in something new. We move with a flourish at the start of the endeavor, before settling in and reflecting on our new obsession. We bring back the original excitement when we realize what we can do and what we have accomplished. The song is built to paint a musical picture of what it is like to learn something new musically, and the song itself is built for younger musicians just learning to play in a band
