New Works That You Can Be A Part Of
Pegasus, Orcs, Pixies, and Dragons. These are the four themes/movements of the exciting new Grade 2 work being created for the 2023-2024 school year.
The full song will be completed no later than December 1st, with individual movements available as they are finished. Each movement should be around 2 minutes long (give or take a little bit) so it will be manageable to fit into a concert program with other music.
Instrumentation will follow typical guidelines for a grade 2 work, (Clarinets, Alto Saxophones, Trumpets all have 2 parts, Low Brass/Low Woodwinds frequently doubled, ect.). Will also feature at least 8 unique percussion parts on each movement, providing lots of opportunities for the percussion section.
The song is being written with musical instruction as a focus. Each movement will have it's own form, time signatures, and teaching opportunities providing a unique educational experience for your students. A breakdown of each movement, how it was constructed, and it's unique elements will be included.
All orders must be paid in order to receive scores and parts.

One short contrasting section before returning to initial "battle cry"
